Life is a series of rapidly changing images. Photography is often described as a moment captured, an unchanging image. But I also find photographs change depending on the viewer, what they choose to focus on, the emotional context they choose to apply. I am particularly interested in black and white photography as it allows light and shadow and contrast to be the focus without the distractions of the colors. While life is in color, black and white photography sometimes seems to show a more accurate representation of certain facets of the subject than color photography. The history and distance in the eyes of a homeless person. The beauty and light in ordinary objects that are often overlooked. The purpose of this site is to explore those images and share the exploration. I hope you enjoy the site.
